How much does pool service cost per month?
This varies greatly depending on the size of the pool, location of the pool, frequency of service as well as the surrounding assets around the pool. Typically, the cost of pool service for a small private house pool or a penthouse pool can range from SGD 80 to SGD 500 a month.
However, for commercial pools such as condos, hotels and waterparks, the price can go up to thousands of dollars a month.
What does pool service typically include?
The daily maintenance includes checking the pump and filter. This is to ensure that the filtration works properly. We do check the baskets too depending on the design of the pool.
Other tasks performed includes the removal of leaves and debris which on their own, are not harmful but are unsightly. Besides this, we check the pool water quality such as chlorine level and pH level. This is to ensure the water is safe to swim according to NEA standards. We maintain the chlorine level according to free chlorine levels and not total chlorine as only free chlorine acts against harmful bacteria, viruses, and other agents of diseases.
Alkalinity levels are important too and we strive to maintain them close to neutral to avoid harm and irritation to human skin and eyes. As well as to ensure a longer life span of the pool tiles and equipment.
Additionally, we scrub the pool of any algae or impurities if present. Moreover, we will backwash or deep clean the filters as needed.

How much does a pool pump and filter change cost?
This can be a hard question to answer as there are many types of pumps and filters. Furthermore, there are many brands and models. The country of origins of these parts is another factor in the price. Also, it depends on the existing site condition and design as some will require extensive modifications as well as the addition of piping systems and valves to make it work.
A very general price range would be at least SGD 700 for a non-reputable pump of smaller size. When it comes to filters, the cost can start from SGD 200 for just the change of filter element or SGD 500 for the change of the whole filter tank of small size and lesser brands. Expect to pay more for a reputable brand and bigger sizes.
